about.
I draw influences from architecture and nature and from the inspiration I developed studying traditional Japanese pottery. I feel my work has a modernist purity with a post modern twist - a refined sense of simplicity and harmony.
I mastered techniques of the Ling-Nan School of Chinese Brush Painting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and studied materials, techniques and traditions of Japanese ceramics in Tokyo, Japan. I also acquired an advanced teaching diploma at the Sogetsu School of Ikebana and mastered styles of Japanese floral design. From 2000 to 2005, I studied abstract painting at the Art Students League in New York City. My work has been featured in solo and group exhibits at the Canfield Gallery and the Zane Bennett Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and The Plus Gallery in Denver, Colorado and has been featured in ARTnews, Art in America, and art Ltd.
